Optimistic about Bitcoin breaking $150,000 in the first half of next year

According to Galaxy Research's 2025 forecast report released on December 30, Bitcoin is expected to break $150,000 in the first half of next year and test or reach $185,000 in the fourth quarter. Factors driving this include adoption at the institutional, corporate, and national levels, with its market capitalization reaching 20% of gold's market value. The report indicates that Bitcoin will once again become one of the best-performing assets globally on a risk-adjusted basis, and at least one top wealth management platform will announce a recommendation for a 2% or higher allocation to Bitcoin. Regarding other cryptocurrencies, Galaxy Research predicts that Ethereum is expected to set a new high price of over $5,500 in 2025, benefiting from the easing of regulatory resistance to DeFi and staking.

The report also notes that in 2025, the four major global custodians will hold digital assets. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will pave the way for national banks to custody digital assets, leading the four major custodians globally to provide digital asset services: Bank of New York, State Street Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Citibank. #BTC☀
