Banks will follow Tether

As Bloomberg writes, banks want to replicate the success of Tether by starting to issue their own stablecoins. Everyone is just waiting for clarity in regulation.

In particular, banks could be attracted to this niche by Tether's earnings — $2.5 billion in Q3 2024 and $7.7 billion over the last 9 months.
