The AI project ai16z, unrelated to the similarly named Silicon Valley venture capital fund, reached a market capitalization of 1.5 billion USD on Saturday, before adjusting to around 1.3 billion USD at the time of writing.

This project claims to be a VC fund operated by AI, supported by the ‘memefund’ launching platform Daos.fun, and has become the first Solana token extension to reach a market capitalization of 1 billion USD. Solana's token extensions provide new features for its token standard, often referred to as Token 2022.
The project's value has grown more than tenfold in the past two months since being recognized by Marc Andreessen (founder of the Andreessen Horowitz fund), driven by increasing interest in blockchain projects combined with AI, from both retail and institutional investors. Notably, ai16z has also developed the Eliza framework, enabling developers to launch their own AI Agents.
Although the value of the fund has experienced significant volatility due to internal instability and rapid changes in the AI field, ai16z has still achieved this impressive milestone. Recently, Eliza Labs, the development team behind the fund, also announced a collaboration with Stanford University to research how to integrate automated AI bots based on blockchain into the broader digital asset economy.
Notably, ai16z has yet to be listed on major exchanges, unlike other memecoins valued at over 1 billion USD such as Floki, Dogwifhat, Dogecoin, and some others. According to blockchain analytics company Lookonchain, there have recently been several large purchases from whale investors for this token.
