According to PANews, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino recently addressed the concerns circulating about USDT on the X platform. He responded to a tweet from weRate co-founder and JAN3 CEO, which highlighted the spread of “FUD information” about USDT. Contrary to these claims, Ardoino clarified that USDT will no longer be considered illegal in Europe by December 30, 2024.
He stressed that while MiCA regulations must be adhered to, stablecoin service providers have a transition period of 6 to 18 months. Some exchanges are currently awaiting further clarification on these regulations.
