According to PANews, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino recently addressed concerns circulating about USDT on the X platform. He responded to a tweet by the co-founder of weRate and CEO of JAN3, which highlighted the spread of 'FUD information' regarding USDT. Contrary to these claims, Ardoino clarified that USDT will not be deemed illegal in Europe by December 30, 2024. He emphasized that while MiCA regulations must be adhered to, stablecoin service providers have a transition period of 6 to 18 months. Some exchanges are currently awaiting further clarification on these regulations.
