⚡️USA and Bitcoin in 2025: Hold, but not buy?
Analysts at Galaxy Digital predict that the new US government in 2025 will refrain from purchasing new bitcoins, but will maintain existing reserves.
Study of "storage policy"
Department head Alex Thorn notes that a Trump administration (if elected) will focus on studying "BTC storage policy." Discussions are expected across various agencies regarding the expansion of this policy.
Solid reserves
Currently, the US government holds a substantial amount of bitcoins: 183,850 BTC (approximately $17.36 billion), distributed across 36 crypto wallets.
Possible changes
* Senator Cynthia Lummis proposed a bill that would allow the US to purchase 200,000 BTC annually for 5 years, with subsequent storage of reserves for at least 20 years.
* Galaxy analyst JW suggests that up to 5 companies from the Nasdaq 100 and up to 5 countries may create their own bitcoin reserves, which could lead to a race for mining and acquisition.
