SOLANA CO-FOUNDER AKRIDGE FACES MILLION-DOLLAR LAWSUIT
Stephen Akridge, one of the co-founders of Solana, was sued in San Francisco by his ex-wife Elisa Rossi for allegedly embezzling Solana (SOL) staking rewards.
Rossi alleges that Akridge, whom they divorced after a 10-year marriage in 2023, redirected the staking rewards of the crypto assets that they should have transferred to them to their own accounts.
According to allegations, Akridge transferred the staking revenues that should belong to Rossi to addresses under his control between March and May 2024.
Rossi, stating that he noticed this situation two months after the divorce and could not reach Akridge despite multiple attempts.
The case is an important example of how crypto assets should be handled in legal processes.
These disputes highlight the legal gaps in the management and sharing of digital assets.
As a result, in today's world where cryptocurrencies are becoming increasingly popular, such cases can raise debates about the legal status and sharing of digital assets.
