The Jupiter DEX aggregator team has announced the criteria for the second airdrop, which will take place in January 2025.

For this airdrop, the project will allocate 700 million JUP worth approximately $581 million.

2.3 million wallets may participate in the second Jupiter airdrop

Jupiter reports that 700 million JUP will be distributed between two groups. 500 million JUP will go to users and staking participants, while 200 million JUP will go to Carrots and Good Cats:

Users: those who make transactions on the Jupiter platform

Staking participants: users who participate in staking

Carrots: users who hold their airdrop rewards or accumulate JUP tokens

Good Cats: users who actively help the community

According to the data provided by Jupiter, about 2.32 million wallets out of 10.65 million meet these criteria. Of these, 2 million wallets have a swap volume of around $1,000, and 320,000 wallets belong to experienced traders who use features such as limit orders, perpetual swaps, DCA, and Ape Pro.

At the beginning of the year, Jupiter conducted its first airdrop, which became one of the largest in Solana's history. The platform distributed 1 billion JUP among nearly 1 million wallets. After that, the price of JUP rose by 300%, from $0.45 to a record $1.85.

Currently, JUP is trading around $0.85. The token price has not reacted to the announcement of the criteria for the second airdrop.

Jupiter remains one of the most popular platforms on Solana. DefiLlama data shows that the total value locked (TVL) in Jupiter exceeded $2.4 billion in December. The average daily trading volume of futures on the platform reached $1.5 billion over the past two months.
