Deep Tide TechFlow News, on December 26, according to Business Insider, former FTX executive Salame pleaded guilty last September, admitting to participating in a conspiracy to make illegal political donations and operate an unlicensed remittance business, and was sentenced to 7 and a half years in prison, starting his sentence in October this year.
However, according to the federal prison records reviewed, Salame's scheduled release date is set for March 1, 2031, which is just over a year short of the 7 and a half years.
A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons stated that the agency does not comment on the conditions of confinement for any inmate (including release plans), but noted that under the First Step Act of 2018, inmates who exhibit good behavior may qualify for time off their sentences.
