The native token of the Sui blockchain has enjoyed a significant surge ahead of Christmas Eve despite the overall weakness in the crypto market as investors believe the network can easily compete and beat Solana at its own game.
On December 23, the $SUI token surged 9% to $4.71 per coin after posting a new high just days earlier at $4.9577 per coin.
With just five days left before the end of the month, $SUI is up 29.9% for the month despite the overall crypto market value only increasing by 2% during the same period.
