Ethereum-based NFT collectibles have seen weekly sales volumes exceed $300 million, with projects like Pudgy Penguins and Azuki taking off. In December, Ethereum NFTs accounted for $678 million in sales, beating the previous month’s record of $562 million.

Meanwhile, two teenagers were charged with conspiring to scam $22 million in NFT projects and other digital assets. Prosecutors allege the men provided misleading descriptions and fake roadmaps.
