The first time I got to know the financial market was through the forex market. The market with the most extreme leverage margin, veterans call it the sharks tank and beginners like us are small fish ready to be pounced on at any time.

In the first five years of my trading career, I often over-traded, always looking at the chart all the time, and my hands couldn't resist the itch to press the buy or sell button. My trading portfolio was like a rollercoaster, and my account only lasted a short time. I learned and applied various trading methods, even using EA (expert advisor/robot), but still couldn't be consistently profitable.

Then next I entered the stock market, everything felt much easier than forex, all I had to do was find the best buy position on a promising asset, find it then open a position and sell when it was in profit. It's that easy. But the problem is that the movement is much slower, the market hours are like office hours, and the most ridiculous thing is that there is no leverage like in forex.

After I managed to collect enough profit from stocks then I tried to enter the crypto market. This is like a combination of the two previous markets, and this market never takes a break at all 24/7 365 non stop. It's just that in this market I know I have to be careful in choosing assets, this is very different from stock issuers regulated by official financial authorities, anyone can anonymously create coins/tokens in crypto world. I also realize that the volatility of this market is quite crazy so I avoid using margin/leverage trading in this market. I managed to consistently profit in the crypto market quite easy.

And the funny thing is, after a while I also tried to re-enter the forex market and trade like in the crypto market. Oddly enough, I also managed to consistently profit there.

Like playing a game, I started it from hard mode - easy mode - normal mode, then tried to return to hard mode.

So from the beginning I chose the wrong mode as a newbie..... 😅
