Bitcoin to Enter Cruise Travel as Payment Method in 2025

Virgin Voyages has announced that it will accept Bitcoin as a payment method for its new annual program, which will be available starting in 2025. This program allows subscribers to take unlimited cruises throughout the year for $120,000, with the possibility of paying in Bitcoin. This move is a boost to the adoption of digital currencies in the tourism and travel sector, opening up new horizons for the use of cryptocurrencies in everyday transactions.

According to Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, this offer provides travelers with unlimited opportunities to venture out in innovative ways in the world of cruises. This initiative is expected to attract significant interest from the cryptocurrency investor community, especially with the increasing acceptance of Bitcoin as a payment method in various sectors.

It is worth noting that the annual program will be available for subscription in early January, February, March, or April, and is valid for a full year from the date of subscription. However, subscribers will still be responsible for paying taxes and fees incurred for each cruise booked.

This move is an indication of the continued expansion of the use of digital currencies in daily life, and their growing role in shaping the future of the global economy.
