The way to fund AI Agents and issue assets is really fascinating! I originally thought that AI Agents could achieve autonomous asset management, independent intent transactions, and seamless cross-chain trading combined with blockchain's verifiable architecture, but clearly we are still far from this vision. However, the emergence of aipool for pre-sales, preventing rug pulls, and avoiding MEV is also an upgrade to the current DeFi experience. Without going too far, let's talk about the immediate benefits:
1) The overall engineering implementation of aipool is not complex. Users send SOL (not CA address) to the wallet address of the AI Agent, which generates a private key in a TEE environment and pre-sets access permission management for the Pool. When certain conditions are met, the AI will automatically create liquidity pools on-chain DEX and distribute tokens to qualifying participants, with the collected transaction fees accumulating in the AI wallet;
2) The entire process is no different from the previously popular KOL funding FI, except that this round of funding FI is driven by AI Agents, who independently control the private key address (cannot run away), autonomously create trading pools (set whitelists, unlock funds in batches, set initial prices, use oracle pricing, etc.) to reduce the impact of MEV arbitrage.
How to enable AI Agents to autonomously generate private keys? AI-Pool uses @PhalaNetwork TEE technology solutions, and the general process is:
1. Generate the private key in a Secure Enclave, where the private key does not leave the TEE environment, and all signature operations are performed within the TEE;
2. TEE can define a set of verifiable interactive communication rules, allowing for remote authentication, transaction verification, and real-time status monitoring externally, effectively managing and scheduling the assets within the TEE using the decentralized consensus of the chain (smart contracts, transparency, traceability). Phala Contracts can run in the TEE environment for offline computation and interact with external chains, achieving multi-chain interoperability;
Although Phala Network's performance in the previous wave of AI narrative was not particularly eye-catching, to be fair, the integration of AI Agents with TEE to achieve secure asset custody, and the integration of decentralized chain governance and smart contract scheduling with the AI operating environment, has led to the adoption of Phala's AI Agent solution by the huge new commercial IP of ai16z, which is truly exciting to imagine.
3) The inclusion of AI Agents in 'transaction features' has always been something the market expected to happen. However, the current AI Agents can already automate some pre-programmed logic without errors, which is rare; reaching the stage of independently discovering trading opportunities, making decisions, and autonomously executing stop-loss and take-profit strategies is still quite early. This requires substantial support on the distributed chain consensus level:
For example, can there be a decentralized Oracle for real-time accurate price feeds? Can there be a set of DA data availability solutions adapted for AI Agents? Can there be a decentralized governance verification scheme? Can there be a Solver Marketplace capable of handling large-scale multi-scenario intent transactions, etc.
Since the workflow of AI Agents inevitably involves calling off-chain APIs like GPT-4, this chain adapted for AI Agents must simultaneously address the integration of off-chain and on-chain issues. This makes sense; the old chain infrastructure also needs to integrate off-chain to seek new growth opportunities. The new narrative of AI Agents will accelerate the integration of on-chain and off-chain worlds.
However, I want to say that AI Agent + Chain is still a distant goal in this wave of AI narrative, and the current level of autonomy of AI Agents is still far from reaching that.
However, focusing on the present, it would already be a significant achievement for AI Agents to seize 'asset custody' from a pile of habitual scammers who issue fraudulent coins and conduct rug pulls. So, what if a fully operational PumpFun for AI Agents emerges? What if an open-source enhanced version of a virtual platform arrives? A new DeFi market specifically serving AI Agents will also refresh simultaneously?..... I’ll control myself from fantasizing further.
In summary, I’ll ignite a spark here, regarding how many novel and interesting things will emerge from AI Agent + DeFi, AI Agent funding FI, and AI Agent integrating with chains, let the upcoming 'explosion' in the market verify this.
