• Bitcoin is falling, but altcoins are rising as $BTC dominance falls. ETHBTC also performed well.

• $BTC - MicroStrategy purchased an additional 5,200 BTC (~$561M) at an average price of $106K per BTC. MicroStrategy also announced that it will hold a shareholders' meeting to discuss plans to increase its share issuance limit, which is expected to lead to further Bitcoin purchases.

• The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has officially announced that cryptocurrency staking is taxable.

• $AAVE $LINK - Chainlink has launched Smart Value Recapture (SVR), an oracle service that specializes in capturing MEV returns. Aave proposed to incorporate SVR on its governance forum to “reclaim MEV from Aave liquidation and return it to the Aave ecosystem.”
