The latest transactions in the wallets of BitMEX exchange founder and well-known cryptocurrency investor Arthur Hayes have attracted attention. Hayes recently made a transfer of $10 million in ENA, the native token of Ethena, the crypto project he supports and finances.$ENA

According to Lookonchain data, Hayes transferred 9 million ENA tokens from a smart contract to his own wallet on Dec. 22. He then moved the tokens to two different centralized exchanges. Hayes sent 7 million of the 9 million ENA to Binance and 2 million to the main addresses of Bybit.

It is believed that these tokens were initially moved from a liquid staking protocol to Hayes’ wallet. The BitMEX founder had staked $8.88 million worth of ENA a week earlier.

Arthur Hayes’ open support for Ethena is well-known. Hayes also inspired the development of USDe by writing a paper that had similar features to Ethena’s stablecoin design. Hayes not only provided intellectual support to the project, but also provided significant support with financial contributions and consulting services. Maelstrom, with whom Hayes is affiliated, led Dragonfly in the funding round that Ethena raised $6 million.

According to data provided by Arkham Intelligence, Arthur Hayes has assets worth $36.44 million in known addresses. A significant portion of these assets are Ethena tokens. Hayes holds 7.919 million sENA tokens, worth approximately $8.35 million. He also has 18,580 ENA tokens in his portfolio, worth $19,680. Hayes’ ENA and sENA tokens make up more than half of his total known assets. The ENA token is currently trading at $1.04.
