😭*Today I was a victim of a cryptocurrency scam.*
Did I blindly trust a possible airdrop? Yes
Do I feel like the dumbest person? Of course 🤡
But still, with all the prejudices they want to throw at me, I decided to share this personal event to remind everyone to be cautious about trusting any project, no matter how promising it may seem.
Everything happened on Telegram, when another application recommended to me, or actually requested to accumulate points, a so-called "TON Airdrop".
Typical of collecting points and spinning wheels until I received a notification that I had earned TON.
It was enough to connect my Tonkeeper wallet and see how it was instantly emptied. 💵🔥
Thank goodness I only had 1 TON, but it still amounts to a considerable sum for me.
⭐This means that it's not enough just to review the mini-apps we use, but also to be careful with the recommended ones or those apps that require logging in to accumulate more points.
