Elon Musk's Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) announced plans to partner with the stablecoin issuer NORMAL, as pointed out by Vivek Ramaswamy, who co-leads the DOGE department with Musk, in a post. However, minutes later the post was deleted because it turned out Ramaswamy's X account was hacked.
Is DOGE really partnering with the USUAL stablecoin?
Moments ago, Vivek Ramaswamy's official X account posted that the Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) announced a strategic partnership with the well-known fiat-backed real-world assets (RWA) stablecoin issuer $USUAL.
The post further stated that the partnership would leverage cryptocurrency programs to support Donald Trump's administration's mission to reduce the federal budget deficit. It also added that the partnership aims to improve the efficiency of government transactions while promoting fiscal responsibility.
Ramaswamy pointed out that the alliance represents an important step towards harnessing the potential of digital currency to promote sustainable economic growth, stability, and financial inclusion.

However, it turns out that this partnership is absolutely false, Vivek Ramaswamy's X account was hacked. His team has taken swift action on the matter and deleted the post afterward. James Fishback, founder of Invest Azoria, stated that the information regarding the DOGE and USUAL partnership is absolutely false, and the hacker is promoting a scam. He wrote:
"I just spoke with Vivek. He was hacked. His account is locked. This is a scam."
In the past, the X accounts of popular figures have been common targets for promoting crypto scams. Recently, the market has also been flooded with meme coin scams involving Hawk Tuah girls.
Elon Musk has grand plans for the department
Elon Musk has been actively formulating the next steps for DOGE, aiming to reduce federal government spending. The Government Efficiency Department recently emphasized, "80% of the federal government's $100 billion IT budget each year is spent on maintaining outdated systems." In response, Musk said, "It's time to clean up this huge mess."
Additionally, the tech billionaire hinted that DOGE could end inflation in the United States. Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that "government overspending" is the main driver of inflation pressures in the country. He further asserted, "If government waste is stopped, there will be no inflation."
