According to TechFlow news on December 20, the High Court of England ruled on December 19 that Craig Wright was sentenced to 12 months in prison for contempt of court, with a two-year suspended sentence. In March of this year, the court ruled that Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin, and prohibited him from initiating legal actions related to Bitcoin. However, Wright launched a £90 billion lawsuit involving intellectual property in October, violating the court's injunction. Judge Mellor stated that Wright's actions were a 'flagrant violation of the order' and showed 'no remorse.'

Wright appeared in court via video and refused to disclose his exact location, stating only that he is in Asia and that he will appeal the ruling. Previously, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) sued him and successfully prevented his copyright claims over the Bitcoin whitepaper.
