Franklin Crypto Index ETF Application Accepted by SEC
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has accepted the amendment application for the cryptocurrency index ETF submitted by Franklin Templeton📈. This product, named Franklin Crypto Index ETF, is planned to track the performance of the CF Institutional Digital Asset Index, which currently only includes Bitcoin and Ethereum.
If approved, the ETF will be listed on the Cboe BZX exchange and will be managed by Coinbase Custody Trust Company LLC for digital asset custody. In the future, this ETF may add other cryptocurrencies, becoming a one-stop choice for crypto investors.
Katalin Tischhauser from Sygnum Crypto Bank pointed out that this index ETF is a natural evolution of crypto investment, similar to the S&P 500 ETF. Regulatory restrictions currently limit crypto ETFs to Bitcoin and Ethereum.
