According to (Fortune), Metaverse game developer Gamefam released its annual report (The State of the Roblox and Fortnite Brands). The report predicts that the global Metaverse game market will reach US$168.4 billion by 2030, with the number of users reaching 900 million, showing that the industry still has strong growth potential. The report reveals significant changes in usage habits among younger generations: Gen Z and Gen Alpha spend 39% more time on Roblox and Fortnite than TikTok and YouTube. The trend has attracted big-name brands including Disney, Mattel and FIFA to partner with Gamefam to reach younger audiences. Ferencz said that although the term "Metaverse" has been affected by the NFT craze, unlike pure collectibles such as NFTs, game entertainment has lasting intrinsic value because "people need entertainment and need to be happy."
