Lens, a layer-2 blockchain developed by Avara, has raised $31 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed Faction. The funds will be used to scale the network infrastructure ahead of its mainnet launch early next year.

Lens is designed for SocialFi use cases and offers developers customizable features that they can add to any application on the chain. The mainnet is expected to launch on Ethereum in early 2025.

Lens is built with ZKsync and uses the data availability protocol Avail. It has partnered with Alchemy, Chainlink, The Graph, Circle, Consensys, and Uniswap.
