Foresight News reports that Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett stated that the Senate Banking Committee has canceled the supplementary vote originally scheduled for tomorrow on the renomination of crypto skeptic Caroline Crenshaw as SEC Commissioner, and she may not be re-nominated to serve as an SEC Commissioner.

Eleanor Terrett further stated that Crenshaw is still serving on the committee and can remain in position until her successor is confirmed or until Congress adjourns next year. According to congressional procedures, the minority party (in this case, the Democrats) typically recommends candidates to fill the minority party seats on the committee. The president can choose whether or not to heed their recommendations, but he is not obligated to do so. Therefore, the Democrats may again nominate Crenshaw at the request of Elizabeth Warren, but whether to renominate her will be up to Donald Trump himself.
