Odaily Planet Daily News A memorandum filed on December 11 postponed the next pre-trial hearing of the cryptocurrency mixing service Samourai Wallet from December 17 to March 12, 2025, a 90-day extension. The trial date has been set for November 3, 2025. Since the last pre-trial meeting held in the US court on September 17, 2024, the government submitted the third and fourth batches of evidence materials on September 23 and October 21, 2024, respectively. Despite the encryption issues, the government copied the first and second batches of evidence and provided them to the developer Keonne Rodriguez on November 6, 2024. The fifth batch of warrants, containing data obtained from the seized devices, is expected to be submitted within seven days. The documents show that the FBI team is reviewing a total of 45 devices seized from developers Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill to find confidential materials, and plans to release the remaining data by early 2025. So far, 17 TB of data (more than half of the total) has been shared, and more data will be released before the trial. Earlier in April, the co-founder of the cryptocurrency mixing service SamouraiWallet was arrested and charged with money laundering. (Nobsbitcoin)
