Ripple will launch the USD stablecoin RLUSD on December 17, supported by USD deposits, U.S. Treasury bonds, and cash equivalents, with monthly asset proofs provided by an independent auditing firm. RLUSD will initially be available on platforms like Uphold and MoonPay, and will be listed on more exchanges in the future. Ripple stated that the issuance of RLUSD is based on a trust company license from NYDFS and looks forward to clearer regulations to promote the development of stablecoins. (TheBlock)
