Odaily Planet Daily News: Nuruhussein Hussein, a man who pretended to be an Uber driver in Scottsdale, Arizona, was arrested on suspicion of stealing a total of $300,000 in cryptocurrency from two passengers. The Scottsdale Police Department accused Hussein of pretending to be an Uber driver booked by passengers outside the Scottsdale W Hotel twice in March and October, and then used the passenger's mobile phone to steal assets from his Coinbase account. Court documents did not explain how Hussein knew the names of passengers waiting for Uber. On December 11, Scottsdale detectives and U.S. Secret Service agents arrested Hussein on charges of theft, fraud and money laundering. Prosecutors asked the judge for a $200,000 cash guarantee and electronic monitoring, provided that Hussein could pay the bail. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. (Fox10 Phoenix)
