Hangzhou Alibaba is laying off again!
Early this morning, I received a call from an old colleague I hadn't been in touch with for a long time. He casually mentioned that he had been laid off recently! The compensation has been negotiated, amounting to about 500,000, and he is expected to officially leave this month.
Speaking of this friend, he is quite talented and has always been busy with work. At 36 years old, he is still unmarried and has worked in research and development at Alibaba for many years, reaching the P7 level, with an annual salary of around 1.1 million. He owns a fully paid 143 square meter apartment in Hangzhou, has a GLC car for transportation, and has savings of over 7 million, having basically achieved financial freedom.
After some small talk, he expressed that he does not feel a midlife crisis and is not in a hurry to find a job. He wants to take some time to rest, go home to spend time with his parents, and take them on a trip to the south! He will look for opportunities again next spring. He also asked me to recommend any good opportunities if they arise, repeatedly stating that he wouldn't care about the salary; the work atmosphere is the most important!
I have to say, once a person reaches a certain height, they really have a level of understanding!
