According to CNBC, former OpenAI researcher, just 26 years old, Suchir Balaji, was recently found dead in his apartment in San Francisco, which has deeply saddened the AI and tech community. David Serrano Sewell, director of the San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office, confirmed via email that Balaji's cause of death has been ruled a suicide. The San Francisco police reported that they were notified on November 26 and found Balaji's body while checking an apartment on Buchanan Street. Preliminary investigations found no signs of foul play.
