On December 12, PANews reported, according to Cointelegraph, that one of the most cited scientific journals in the world (Nature) introduced the DeSci protocol ResearchHub in an article published on December 11. This platform pays peer reviewers the equivalent of $150 in cryptocurrency to independently review new research papers.
(Nature) magazine noted in its article that this is also an opportunity for some to earn money, mentioning that Pedro Paulo Gattai Gomes, a molecular biology advisor in São Paulo, stated that his income from reviewing papers for ResearchHub is now higher than when he was a professor at an academic institution. Gomes reported that he reviews an average of 15 papers per month, earning $150 worth of ResearchHub ResearchCoin tokens (RSC) for each review. He told the magazine, 'It is just to be paid for reviewing because, in my opinion, it is very unfair to do voluntary work without even a word of thanks.'
According to CoinGecko, RSC is currently priced at $1.01, with a 24-hour increase of 24.2%.
