Bitmain Expands Production in the US to Increase Efficiency
Bitmain, a Chinese Bitcoin (BTC) mining hardware manufacturer, has announced that it is expanding its production to the US. This step is taken to increase supply chain efficiency while providing faster service to customers in the North American region.
"This strategic move will provide a faster response and more efficient service to our customers," Bitmain said in an official statement.
Although this expansion aims to facilitate distribution, Bitmain is facing obstacles in the form of the detention of its latest device, the ANTMINER S21 Pro, at the port of entry by the US Customs and Border Protection Agency.
This is because Bitmain's production expansion comes amid rising trade tensions between the US and China. In addition, the import tariff policy planned by US President-elect Donald Trump could also encourage the transition of mining hardware production domestically.
