Radiant Capital has revealed that a $50 million attack on its decentralized finance (DeFi) platform in October was carried out using malware sent via Telegram by a hacker with links to North Korea. An investigation by Mandiant attributed the attack to a threat actor with links to the Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK). The hacker sent a ZIP file to a Radiant developer posing as a former contractor. This file, when shared with other developers, spread the malware, paving the way for the attack. Radiant emphasized that more powerful hardware solutions are needed to overcome such threats. Share your thoughts in the comments.
