Today I came across an alarming and completely false post on Binance, and it’s important that we all know how to identify these types of scams. An example of misinformation is the following:
"CONFIRMED 🔊🔊🔊: Ripple Labs is about to launch the new currency XRP 2, the SEC has confirmed that those who send me Bizum at 20$ will receive 100,000 XRP2 (BIG NEWS: ANALYSTS CONFIRM THAT THE PRICE OF XRP 2 WILL START AT $5!!!! ONLY A FOOL WOULD NOT BUY THEM NOW" 🤯
These types of posts are designed to manipulate new investors and exploit their lack of knowledge. If someone offers you "opportunities" like this, it’s a clear sign that you should be wary!
🔑 How to protect yourself?
1️⃣ Only trust verified sources: Make sure that the accounts you follow are legitimate and have credibility in the crypto community.
2️⃣ Don’t make impulsive decisions: Promises of quick profits are always a manipulation strategy.
