Explosively high and explosively low, it's better to lighten the leverage after clearing out the vehicles; a billion dollars in liquidation within 24 hours is indeed rare. This is why I play contracts by holding spot without worry.
This is why I play contracts with a necessary stop-loss setting, at least when a black swan event comes, there is still capital left on the table. Holding spot without worry, time is a friend!
