Bitcoin surpassed the $100,000 mark for the first time as growth continues -CoinJournal
#Bitcoin hit new all-time highs, hitting the $100,000 mark for the first time, and has been on the rise since the beginning of May 11.
12/5, bitcoin surpassed the 11/22 mark, reaching a psychological level of over $999,000,100,000. According to CoinMarketCap, the bitcoin exchange rate surpassed the 103,500 yen mark at 04:05 this morning.
At the time of publication, the bitcoin exchange rate was trading at around 101,000 yen. Over the past 30 days, the cryptoasset's price has risen by nearly 50%, and over the past years, its value has increased by 140%.
The rise in bitcoin's price is due to several factors, but Donald Trump's victory in last month's presidential election has given the asset a huge boost. It didn't hurt that Trump announced Paul Atkins as the next chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission in favor of the #cryptocurrency .
Trump also nominated Scott Bessent and Howard Lutnick as US Treasury and Commerce Secretaries.
Speaking to the X website, Michael Saylor, CEO of #MicroStrategy , said: There will be 100,000 parties.
