Pix surpasses cash as the most used payment method in Brazil
The Central Bank (BC) released, this Wednesday (4), the survey “Brazilians and their relationship with money”, which reveals an important milestone in the way Brazilians make payments. Pix has surpassed cash as the most used payment method in the country. Four years after its launch, the model is already used by 76.4% of the population.
The survey interviewed two thousand people between May 28 and July 1, 2024. Half of this audience are cashiers at commercial establishments. With a 95% confidence level, the margin of error is 3.1%.
