A Bitcoin whale that has been dormant since 2013 has aroused curiosity in the crypto market by transferring 2,700 BTC.

According to information provided by crypto analysis platform Lookonchain, a Bitcoin whale that has been dormant for 11 years has transferred a total of 2,700 BTC (approximately $257.45 million).

The whale acquired these Bitcoins on December 21, 2013, when the Bitcoin price was $625.84. The fact that the whale made this large transfer, despite no movement in his wallet since then, was noteworthy.

While such old wallet movements often create curiosity and speculation in the crypto market, the purpose of this transfer or the person behind it has not yet been clarified.

Over the past months, many decade-old Bitcoin whales have made headlines by making similar transfers.

According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin, which has increased by 1% in the last 24 hours, is traded at $96,500 at the time of writing.
