According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on December 4, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that, influenced by President Yoon Suk-yeol's implementation and lifting of the emergency martial law, senior aides of the Presidential Office, including the Chief of Staff, collectively expressed their intention to resign on the 4th. The Presidential Office announced that day to reporters that all the heads of the offices in the Presidential Office and the Chief Secretaries collectively expressed their intention to resign.
The resigning personnel include the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Secretary's Office (Chief of Staff) Jeong Jeon-seok, the Director of the National Security Office Shin Won-sik, the Director of the Policy Office Seong Tae-in, and senior aides at the level of Chief Secretary and above. It is reported that the senior aides held a meeting under the chairmanship of Jeong Jeon-seok that morning and agreed to collectively resign. If the senior aides resign en masse, it will paralyze the Presidential Office, so whether Yoon Suk-yeol will accept all the resignation letters is still unknown.
Additionally, Yoon Suk-yeol was originally scheduled to attend a meeting on drug control measures that morning, but due to the impact of the martial law controversy, this meeting has been postponed. Other activities scheduled for Yoon Suk-yeol are also likely to be affected.
