U.S. blockchain payment company Ripple Labs has intensified testing of its stablecoin RLUSD. Ripple Stablecoin Tracker data indicates that Ripple is conducting two tests simultaneously, focusing on minting and transferring on the XRP Ledger protocol, marking the first disclosure of RLUSD testing this month. Over the past few months, Ripple Labs has been conducting RLUSD tests in hopes of joining the rapidly growing stablecoin ecosystem. The latest minted XRP Ledger Index stands at 146, containing 9,999,700 RLUSD. According to previous reports from FOX Business, the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) is set to approve a new stablecoin RLUSD issued by cross-border payment company Ripple. Insiders have stated that the NYDFS has indicated to Ripple that it will approve the product, which the company plans to launch on December 4.
