ChainCatcher news, according to a report by Bitcoin.com News, data shared by the Central Bank of Bolivia shows that the country's cryptocurrency activities are overheating. According to the agency's data, after the bank lifted a comprehensive ban on cryptocurrency operations earlier this year, trading of digital assets increased by 112%.

More than 252,000 Bolivians hold digital assets and conduct transactions on various platforms. Bank president Edwin Rojas Ulo pointed out that the transaction volume in these operations exceeded 75 million dollars in the past four months (from July to October 2024), a significant increase compared to the 46.4 million dollars in transactions in the first and second quarters of 2024.
