The company behind Arc, The Browser Company, announced a new web browser Dia with a focus on AI tools. The launch is expected in early 2025.
"Artificial intelligence will not exist as an application. Or a button. We believe that this is a completely new environment built on top of the web browser," says the website of the new product.
In a published video, CEO of The Browser Company, Josh Miller, showcased some features of the browser. Among them:
writing the next sentence while typing;
providing facts from the internet during information searches;
analyzing open windows in the browser;
entering commands in the address bar, for example, searching documents by description, sending emails, or scheduling a meeting in the calendar;
performing actions on behalf of the user, such as adding items to the shopping cart from a list in a received email.
In a previously published video, Miller noted that his company faces the challenge of creating an AI browser that operates seamlessly and is profitable.
In November, it became known about OpenAI's desire to create its own browser.
