Among them is Semler Scientific, which purchased 237 BTC for $23.3 million, and Boyaa Interactive, which holds over 3,000 BTC. MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin purchases are largely funded by the sale of shares, with the company raising funds through a $21 billion equity offering and fixed-income securities. The latest share sale, which generated $243 million, will be used for future Bitcoin acquisitions. The company is also pursuing a $2 billion preferred stock offering, potentially attracting institutional investors like pension funds and insurance companies. This fundraising approach underscores the company's reliance on institutional backing to further its Bitcoin strategy.

Bitwise Asset Management CIO Matt Hougan joins to discuss bitcoin's (BTC-USD) outlook for 2025. Bitwise operates several of its own bitcoin (BITB, BITC, BTOP) and crypto (BITQ, BITW) ETFs. "As we look into 2025, the number of tailwinds pushing this industry forward is just extraordinarily strong," Hougan explains, citing ETF inflows, the incoming Trump administration, institutional investments, and other factors. He notes that there are "too many long-term positives" driving the market. Discussing the incoming Trump administration, Hougan outlines several key steps for the first 100 days: securing confirmation for crypto-friendly nominees, halting regulatory "lawfare," and implementing enhanced stablecoin and market structure legislation. He suggests these actions could position the US as "the crypto capital of the world."

#Crypto2025Trends Bitcoin ETFs see strong rebound with $475.15m inflows Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the United States recorded an inflow of $475.15 million on Dec. 26, ending its four day streak of outflows. According to data from SoSoValue, the 12 spot Bitcoin ETFs logged $475.15 million of inflows on Thursday following four straight days of outflows that saw over $1.5 billion leave the funds. Fidelity’s FBTC led the lot with inflows of $254.37 million followed by ARK 21Shares’ ARKB which attracted $186.94 million in inflows. BlackRock’s IBIT saw an inflow of $56.51 million while Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust and VanEck’s HODL also contributed to the positive momentum with more modest inflows of $7.19 million and $2.7 million respectively. Some of the inflows on the day were offset by outflows from Grayscale’s GBTC and Bitwise’s BITB, which experienced withdrawals of $24.23 million and $8.32 million, respectively. The remaining five BTC ETFs recorded zero flows on the day. The total trading volume for these investment products stood at $2.13 billion on Dec. 26 close to the $2.16 billion seen the previous day. At press time, Bitcoin Bitcoin BTC -2.23% Bitcoin was down 2.2% over the last 24 hours, exchanging hands at $95,996 per coin.
