BlackRock registers Ethereum trust! Or prepare to apply for Ethereum spot ETF

BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, recently registered the iShares Ethereum Trust in Delaware, the United States. This move may indicate that BlackRock will submit an Ethereum spot ETF to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the future. application, the price of Ethereum rose sharply.

Several companies have previously submitted applications for Ethereum spot ETFs to the SEC, but so far they have not been approved. The SEC has currently postponed its decisions on ARK 21Shares and VanEck’s applications, with these decisions expected to be announced on December 25th and 26th. Ethereum was trading at $2,060 at press time, up 9.1% in the past 24 hours and 14.2% in the past seven days.

 

U.S. regulators may approve 12 Bitcoin spot ETF applications within eight days

According to Bloomberg ETF analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission may approve all 12 pending Bitcoin spot ETF applications within the next eight days.

Two analysts believe approval is very likely by November 17, with a 90% chance of approval by January 10 next year at the latest. However, it is worth noting that although many people in the industry believe that the approval of the Bitcoin spot ETF will start the next bull market, some analysts believe that this rise will not be sustainable.

 

USDC upgrade! 2.2 update will enhance security and reduce transaction fees

Stablecoin issuer Circle announced that it will launch version 2.2 upgrade of its USDC and EURC stablecoins. The update includes lower gas fee costs required for transactions, as well as better support for account abstraction and improved transaction security on the Ethereum Virtual EVM blockchain.

Circle pointed out that this is the first major update of USDC since the beginning of 2021. This upgrade will be fully compatible with past versions. Developers and users do not need to take any action. The update is planned to be completed in the next few months.
