I have a South Korean friend who, whenever the topic of North Korea comes up,
clearly lives in an information bubble; his views on North Korea are quite extreme.
It seems that anyone is inevitably influenced by their surrounding environment.
Last time I asked about a North Korean restaurant, whether they accept South Koreans, they clearly replied that they do.
But my South Korean friend doesn't believe it at all,
so even under a democratic system, people's perceptions are surrounded by prejudice.
Breaking away from a low-awareness environment and squeezing into a high-cognition group, even prejudice can become a bit more objective.
