Cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Floki (FLOKI)$FLOKI
and announced that it will hold an AirDrop event for ApeCoin (APE) holders. In the event, users will earn Wise Monkey (MONKY) coins at certain rates according to their FLOKI and APE balances. Binance officially announced the conditions and technical information required to participate in AirDrop.$APE
The MONKY coin distribution will be carried out by taking separate snapshots for each cryptocurrency. The snapshot date for APE holders was determined as November 29, 2024, and for FLOKI holders as December 15, 2024. During the snapshot, 0.35 MONKY will be distributed for every 1 FLOKI and 804,828 MONKY for every 1 APE. However, users who do not have the minimum balance will not be able to benefit from this AirDrop.
Binance will evaluate FLOKI and APE balances across all wallet types. However, amounts below the minimum balance will not be included in the AirDrop and pending deposits or withdrawals will not be considered valid. The event will consider FLOKI and APE balances in users’ wallets, but borrowed or lent cryptocurrencies will not be considered. In addition, users with a net debt balance will have their MONKY coin balances adjusted according to the debt amount. Binance stated that it will handle the process on its behalf without users having to deal with the technical requirements.
It is not yet certain whether MONKY coin will be listed on the Binance platform. The company stated that the strict listing policies applied to other cryptocurrencies will also apply to this token. It was also emphasized that users must perform KYC verification and be located in a valid region.
Binance stated that more details regarding the AirDrop process will be announced in the coming days. FLOKI and APE trading, deposits, and withdrawals will not be affected by this event, but users are advised to check their account balances and not miss the event.
