Russia retains leadership in the ranking of the most hacked countries$SCRT $ICP $FIDA
Since 2022, Russia has remained the most hacked country in the world. This was reported by Izvestia, citing a statement by Kaspersky Lab experts.
Private businesses and government agencies are under attack. Most often, attackers target industrial enterprises, telecom, construction companies, and the IT sector.
According to Positive Technologies, 220 successful attacks were carried out on Russian organizations in 2022. In 2023, their number decreased to 167. In the incomplete 2024, 217 cyber incidents were recorded.
The Solar 4RAYS center team found out that this year, 54% of attacks were aimed at espionage, 20% of the total number were for direct extortion (including data encryption) and cryptocurrency mining. Another 11% of cases involved the destruction of the attacked company's data.
