The Great Pyramid of Giza, despite its massive size, has yielded only three mysterious artifacts. These objects, known as the Dixon finds, were discovered in 1872 by British explorer Waynman Dixon. The items include a stone ball, a copper hook, and a wooden fragment. The wooden piece was lost for decades until it was found in 2019 by Abeer Eladany, a curatorial assistant at the University of Aberdeen.
The stone ball and copper hook are now in the British Museum’s collection. The purpose of these objects remains unknown, but they are believed to have been used by the pyramid builders during the construction process.
