U.S. President Joe Biden said Thursday he hopes President-elect Donald Trump will reconsider his plan to impose tariffs on Mexico and Canada, saying it could "screw up" relations with close allies. "I hope he reconsiders. I think it would be counterproductive," he said on Nantucket. "We have the unusual situation in the United States where we are surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and two allies: Mexico and Canada. The last thing we need to do is start to undermine those relationships."
