In his latest tweet, Shiba Inu leader Shytoshi Kusama shared an AI-generated image depicting what it feels like to “try to give utility to a meme coin and take it from top 15 to top 5 in less than 5 years without a huge budget.” He clarified that he was referring to SHIB.

The image is a painting on an office wall depicting a chaotic, religious, or apocalyptic scene with a man sitting at his desk in an office surrounded by chaos.

Did SHIB make it into the top five?

After Kusama posted the tweet, an X user speculated that he was hinting that SHIB was about to enter the top five. However, Kusama clarified that this was not a prediction, but an ambitious goal. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to promote SHIB, saying that this is a common goal, not a guaranteed result.

Kusama also shared his busy work schedule, revealing that he often works 20 hours a day for weeks on end. His job includes managing social media and responding to feedback and questions from the SHIB community.

Burn rate soars over 24,000%

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu’s burn rate has surged to staggering levels. Earlier today, the burn rate surged by 5,500%, but in the past 24 hours, the burn rate has surged by more than 24,000%. A total of 270,751,087 SHIB tokens have been destroyed, with the largest single burn resulting in a reduction of 209,312,491 tokens in circulation.

As of now, SHIB is trading at $0.00002521, up more than 1% in the past 24 hours.

Is SHIB ready for a bigger bull run?

The broader cryptocurrency market experienced a significant rally following the U.S. election, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL) hitting new all-time highs.

However, Shiba Inu has yet to set new highs in this bull run. The last time SHIB set a new high was in October 2021, when it reached $0.00008616. This surge came after a massive burn in May 2021, when Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin transferred more than 410 trillion SHIB to a dead wallet.

Looking ahead: Will 2025 be the year of the “super cycle”?

Lucie, Shiba Inu's marketing director, remains optimistic about the future. She believes 2025 could be a "super cycle" year, similar to the explosive rebound in 2021. Lucie noted that the current market landscape is similar to what happened in 2020, just before the last big bull run. With demand growing and top exchanges listing SHIB, she thinks another big rebound could be in the cards.

The SHIB team and community are clearly focused on the long term, using strategic burn and ambitious goals to pave the way for future success.
