🤔 Ukrainian banks are increasingly practicing blocking the accounts of clients who trade crypto. Previously, on financial websites people complained about blocking in PrivatBank, now they are complaining about monobank.
“Yesterday they blocked the card, asked me to provide documents confirming my income, I am doing p2p transfers on Binance. (Binance is one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges in terms of trading volume of bitcoins and altcoins, registered in 15 countries - editor's note.) At first they said that screenshots and statements from Binance were not suitable for them, I sent them a certificate ok-7, ok -5, after which they asked to send screenshots from Binance. When I wrote that I wanted to close the account and withdraw my funds, they said that I needed to wait for the end of the verification, which lasted 60 days. I don’t know what can be checked for 60 days. In fact, they illegally retain 38,434 UAH of my personal funds,” says Mikhail Ushkalov’s complaint.
Explaining the blocking of Mikhail’s account, monobank referred to financial monitoring and relevant law No. 361-IX.
