What is high cognition?
Many people think that high cognition means seeing through everything, having a deep understanding of the world, and getting to the essence of problems. However, I have found that such people often live in a state of great distress.
The higher the cognition, the more likely one is to develop a sense of superiority. When they see others in business having to put on a smiling face, they feel diminished; when they see friends posting about side jobs on social media, they feel it's low; when they see colleagues in marketing posting ads, they find it uninteresting.
The result is: their heads are filled with grand theories, but they hardly have any money.
Many people are like this, spending all day studying human nature, discussing philosophy, and often talking with me about "the essence of the world." But when you suggest they start a side business? They shake their heads. When you ask them to do a small business? They frown.
You’d think this is just nonsense.
So, pursuing high cognition is not wrong, but don't forget one thing: as cognition improves, one must also be able to make money.
Otherwise, it's like some people: they understand grand principles but are still renting houses; they see through human relationships yet still borrow money to get by.
Now do you understand?
High cognition is a good thing, but if it can't be monetized, then it's just wishful thinking.
You tell me, how uncomfortable must life be?
